OVERVIEW:
TheProductManagerisresponsiblefortheoverallmanagementandmarketingstrategyfordesignatedproducts,supportingthespanoftheproduct’slifecycle.  ThisinvolvesthecreationofstrategiesandmarketplanswhichallowKemintogrowthesalesandprofitabilityoftheassignedproductline(s),implementingaproductdevelopmentprocess,reducingproductcost,andensuringworldwideproductstandards.  

RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Responsibleforlaunchinganewproductlinewhichisexpectedtobebiggestcontributortoincrementalsales.Thisrequiresclosecollaborationwithtechnicalandcommercialpartners.
2. Settingproductstrategyandoverseeproductlinelifecyclesfromstrategicplanningtotacticalactivities.
3. LeadProductInnovationProcessthroughnewproductconceptsubmissionsaswellaschampioningproductsthroughtheprocesstolaunchbycollaboratingwithcrossfunctionalteams.
4. Executeproductstrategiesandinitiatives,setproductandpricingstrategy,aswellaspricingandvolumediscountschedulestoproducethehighestpossiblelong-termmarketshareandprofitability.
5. Withconsultationofmarketingdirector,marketingstaff,andthecommercialteam,develop,publishandcommunicatetheannualmarketingplanforassignedproducts.
6. Leadthedevelopmentofcommunicationplans(positioning,target,tactics)andpackaging.WorkwithResearchandDevelopmentandTechnicalServicestofurtherstrengthenproductstorythroughproductresearchinitiatives.
7. Conductmarketanalysistomonitorcompetitiveproducts,sales,shareandmarketingactivities;deploycategoryknowledgeandunderstandingtothemanagementofproductlines.
8. Translateresearchdataintoproductperformanceupdates,technicalbulletins,andsales/marketingmaterials.
9. Providemarketingexpertise,supportandeducationtothecommercialteamforsuccessfulsalesoutcomes.
10. Workcloselywiththeglobalproductmanagementteamtooptimizeefficienciesandsynergies.
11. Createandmakepresentationstocustomersattherequestofcommercialteam.


QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’sdegree,preferablyinoneofthelifesciences,(specificsciencebackgroundisdependentuponposition/productfocus)
2. 5-7yearsofworkingexperienceincludingatleast2-3yearsofproductmanagementexperience.
3. Preferrabletohavenewproductlaunchexperience
4. GoodlevelofworkingEnglishandfluentinChinese.
5. Experienceasaneffectiveprojectteamplayer,leader,andmotivator;andtheabilitytopresentideaseffectivelyandcommunicatewellwithpeersandalllevelsofmanagement.
6. Agoodunderstandingofthechemicalandbiologicalsciencesastheyapplytotheproductionofcompanyspecificproducts;anunderstandingoftheproductsKeminsellsandthetechnologyusedinthemicro-ingredientnutritionalportionoftheindustry.
7. Mustbeproactive,self-motivated,energetic,business-mindedmanagerwithabroadscientific/technicalaptitudebasewhoisabletoprovideproductleadership,setpriorities,delegateresponsibilities,andmeettimetablesleadingtotheattainmentofgrowthgoals.
8. Demonstratedachievementofproductsalesobjectivesandfinancialtargets.
